DESCRIPTION: |
| SUPERIOR JOINT SEAL is
a two component, 100% solids, equal volume, elastic type
epoxy. SUPERIOR JOINT SEAL is a self-leveling system for
applications in masonry, saw cut control joints and
grooves. |
|
USES: |
|
Filler and sealer for
saw-cut control joints.
Flexible grout for tile
and brick.
Moisture barrier
coating. |
|
ADVANTAGES: |
| Permanently flexible.
Easy-to-use 1:1 by
volume mix ratio.
Excellent adhesion.
Self-leveling.
Non-sag grade is
available for vertical and overhead applications. |
|
SURFACE
PREPARATION: |
| Area must be clean and
dry. Saw-cuts shall be blown clean and dry with
compressed air to remove all excess moisture and debris. |
|
MIXING
AND APPLICATION: |
|
Mix equal volumes of
part A and part B. Mix thoroughly until the color is
uniform, with no streaks in evidence. Be sure to scrape
the sides and bottom of the mixing pail.
For neat and easy
application, tape both sides of joints and grooves with
masking tape. Apply SUPERIOR JOINT SEAL with
conventional caulking gun, disposable plastic dispenser
or pour from the can. Fill joints flush to the top or
slightly higher than the surrounding surface. A second
pass prior to curing may be necessary due to the fact
that all pour grade materials will "dish" or become
concave. Remove all tape and clean spills and tools
immediately upon completion of installation. |
|
LIMITATIONS: |
| Do NOT apply when
temperature is below 50°F.
Do NOT apply to latex
modified mortar or concrete.
Should NOT be applied
when concrete is less than 5 days old. |
